Urgent appointments for today or tomorrow

To help us prioritise appointments, the practice operates a system of telephone triage, and we can usually offer same day or next day appointments.

If you feel that your problem is urgent, you should tell the receptionist and every effort will be made for you to be seen the same day.

If the doctor needs to see you in person or you would prefer a face-to-face appointment, we will invite you to come in.

Home Visits

Please be aware that our GPs will always call to assess the home visit request first.

Telephone: 01253 202300

If you are too ill to come to surgery you can request a home visit.

Please provide as much detail as possible to allow the doctors to plan their rounds and decide which cases need to be seen first.

Telephone Consultations

If you wish to simply speak to the doctor over the phone, please contact reception and explain the nature of the call.

The receptionist will then triage to the on-call GP who will then contact you or triage you to the appropriate clinician.

We operate a ‘three strikes’ policy regarding missed appointments, which means that if you miss three appointments, without informing us in advance, you will be removed from the practice list. You will then be asked to register with a new practice.

We will send you ‘DNA – Did Not Attend’ letters after each missed appointment as advance warning. If you feel that you have been sent a DNA letter inappropriately or after you cancelled the appointment with adequate advance notice, please contact the reception manager so that the issue can be sorted out immediately.
